Muslim American activist, Blair Imani, known for campaigning for Black Lives Matter and gender equality rights, has taken herself off Twitter, after getting real about mental health. "My mental health has to come first," Imani said in one tweet. "Hello everyone, I am going to be offline for a while. I’m having a lot of paranoia and suicidal thoughts. My mom is going to take me to the hospital so I can be on suicide watch. Thank you for your patience at this time," she wrote in a tweet on January 20. Imani is still engaging on Instagram Stories directly, but is only engaging on Twitter via her manager, Mariel Limon, who will be running her account until February 1. The "paranoid" breakdown came two days after Imani claimed that she had been "manipulated" by an "FBI agent" in a Twitter thread dated January 18. Imani posted on her Insta story that she is still appearing at Period Con on January 26 and 27 in New York City. ________________________ Read more: The #10YearChallenge shows that all social media wants is a simple, shallow story Are we really going to let David Beckham's dog and her Dh22,000 blanket upset us? ________________________
