Motorists are at risk from Legionnaires' disease and food poisoning bugs every time they use their car, according to two new reports. The Daily Mail newspaper cites UK government experts that have found that 20 per cent of cases of the potentially fatal lung infection are linked to water used to clean car windows. Drivers are urged to add screenwash, with anti-bacterial properties, to their wiper water. The Daily Telegraph reports that bugs linked with food poisoning, vomiting and skin infections were all discovered inside a random car when it was subjected to a test by Halfords.
