I-Spy: Volvo V30

No, your eyes aren't deceiving you; that's an extra set of doors on what you would normally consider to be the next generation C30 from Volvo.

The current C30 is nearing the end of its lifecycle and Volvo is preparing both a three-door and five-door variant for the next generation, set to rival Volkswagen's Golf, Audi's A3 and BMW's X1. In the front are slimmer, sleaker headlamps, while the tail lights are more sculpted than the current C30.

The rear door also stands out further than the current model; powerplants are expected to include both diesel and petrol four cylinders and possibly go up to a 240hp version, with power routing through the front wheels.

Volvo is also rumoured to be working on a crossover version of the vehicle, possibly called the XC30.
