Annual Lap with SNAP to offer circuits at the Autodrome

DUBAI // In a combined effort between the Automobile and Touring Club of the UAE and car clubs, including Corvette Arabia, Emirates Mustang Club and BMW Club UAE, the annual Lap With SNAP event will be held next weekend at the Dubai Autodrome. Since 2007, the Dubai-based Special Needs Awareness Programme (SNAP) has organised for more than 300 special needs children to convene on the Dubai Autodrome to be taken on laps of the track in more than 100 different sports and race cars.

On previous events, well-known motorsports figures such as ATCUAE president and champion driver Mohammed Ben Sulayem and UAE racer Sheikh Hasher Al Maktoum have been on hand to drive children around the track. As well as offering the children the opportunity to be safely introduced to motorsport, the event also holds raffles to raise funds for the programme. The event runs at Dubai Autodrome on April 3 from 12pm until 6pm.
