The Hot List: Five design finds to brighten up your life

Candid camera

The London-based accountant turned blogging entrepreneur Lynne Robinson decided to turn her passion for paper goods into an online shop in 2009. She launched Papermash to sell hand-picked stationery and home accessories sourced from as far afield as America, Japan and Korea, carefully putting together a small but select stock of quirky, beautiful buys. We love the A3-sized Smile camera print, which is sure to brighten up even the darkest of days.

Leading light

The One has launched a new collection of scented candles, which includes products by Aquiesse, Compagnie de Provence, Cire Trudon, Welton London and Kelly Hoppen. We'll be investing in Compagnie de Provence's Fig of Provence, a fruity mix of fig, cedar, vanilla, hyacinth and anise. All of the company's products are made from pure vegetable wax, which only adds to their appeal.

Power play

Grohe's recently launched Power & Soul showers offer a choice of up to four different spray patterns in one shower head, from the gentle and enveloping Rain to the revitalising Active Massage. Thanks to Grohe's new AquaDirect technology, you can switch from one pattern to the next with the simple push of a button, meaning you can get exactly the shower you want, when you want it. Power & Soul shower heads come in various designs, and in diameters of 100mm, 130mm and 160mm.

Sitting pretty

Indigo Living's new summer collection is brimming with eye-catching prints and pretty pops of colour. New to the store is Australian brand Salt & Pepper, which makes stylish but durable cookware and tableware. If you're really looking to spruce up your space for summer, look no further than this ceramic lattice stool in yellow.

Write stuff

There's always something waiting to be discovered at O'de Rose, and our latest favourite find is this collection of colourful wooden coasters shaped like letters from the Arabic alphabet. They are produced by the Lebanese company Kashida, which specialises in fusing Arabic typography with functional products and furniture. We've spelt out "National" here, but there's no limit to what words you can form. See it as an opportunity to brush up on your language skills.
