Tired of the bold taste of traditional kiwifruit? Why not try its cousin, the golden-fleshed Zespri SunGold Kiwifruit.
Like the green version, golden kiwi is rich in vitamin C, dietary fibre, folate and other minerals and antioxidants, making it one of the most nutrient-rich fruits available. The flavour is also a lot more subdued, with one colleague summing it up nicely: βIt tastes like a pastel of a kiwi.β
The golden fruit, which was introduced to the UAE last summer, is now available in all supermarkets until September 2015.
