Waitrose & Partners has just launched a brand-new store at The Meadows Village – the newly revamped retail centre in Emirates Living.

This marks the British retailer’s 13th store within the UAE, and the 14,000-square-foot branch also comes with the UAE’s first Waite & Rose Cafe.

Waite & Rose Cafe pays tribute to the two original founders of the popular supermarket chain – Wallace Waite and Arthur Rose – and guests can expect to find the space complemented by vintage imagery documenting the history of the founders. The counter-service cafe will also feature modern decor and comfy booths.

The cafe will have its own menu, with classic breakfast items as well as coffees and teas. Guests can also pick up baked treats from the in-house deli and bakery.

Meanwhile, the new Waitrose store is packed with all the products the brand is known for, including its vegan section, deli counter and British produce, such as grass-fed Waitrose Aberdeen Angus beef and No1 Vintage Cornish Cheddar from the Davidstow Creamery.

“We are all about sharing our love for food, as trusted purveyors of responsibly sourced products, and are passionate about every step of the journey, from field to fork. We very much look forward to welcoming residents and visitors to the Meadows Village branch,” says Sunil Kumar, chief executive of Fine Fare Foods, which runs Waitrose UAE.

Both the shop and cafe will be open daily from 7am until 11pm.
