  • Arabic

Ghaf Kitchen, Dubai's gourmet restaurant on wheels, has opened the Deus Cafe Pop Up at Capital D Studio in Al Quoz. The cafe serves all-day breakfast, salads, lunch dishes and homemade beverages. Menu items include warm mushroom and feta tart, lemongrass beef sandwich with pickled cucumber and jalapeño mayonnaise and Vietnamese salad with chicken, bean sprouts, daikon and coconut dressing. Ghaf Kitchen and its pop up cafes use fresh ingredients, sourced in ethical and sustainable ways. Deus Cafe Pop Up is open Sunday to Thursday from 8:30am to 3:30pm. For more information, call 04 341 5339 or visit www.ghafkitchen.com.

Another new indie cafe in Dubai — called Pret To Go — will open in DIFC in November. The cafe caters to the person-on-the-go and will offer quick, healthy meals for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The chefs use wholesome (and often organic) ingredients with no additives, preservatives or colourants. The menu will offer dishes that appeal to a wide clientele. There will be French and Italian bakery items, American style bagels, sandwiches, fresh salads, Mexican and Arabic wraps and hot pots such as quinoa risotto with wild mushroom and Thai chicken curry. They'll also serve organic coffee. Pret To Go is located on Marble Walk, DIFC and will be open Saturday through Thursday from 8am to 6pm.
