Love Van Gogh? Then book an art-inspired afternoon tea at Fairmont The Palm, where nine of Van Gogh’s most iconic works will be on display at the Mashrabiya Lounge. The works are part of the Relievo collection of fine-art reproductions. The Van Gogh afternoon tea will include Mediterranean flavours to pay homage to the area where the artist lived and worked.
This is not your usual finger sandwiches and scones tea. The Van Gogh tea will include bites such as Provençal shrimp and basil on capsicum bread and roasted, lavender-infused duck with plum chutney.
The nine works of art on display are exact reproductions made with a 3D printer. In addition to Van Gogh’s iconic Sunflowers piece, you’ll also find Almond blossom, The harvest, Wheatfield under thunderclouds and Landscape at twilight.
Available from February 26 through March 31, the Van Gogh Afternoon Tea will run daily from noon to 6pm for Dh125. To reserve a table next to the Sunflowers Relievo, an additional Dh100 will be charged. For reservations, call 04 457 3457.
