Toko Dubai is serving up a three-night-only comics-inspired feast to coincide with the Middle East Film and Comic Con, which is at the Dubai World Trade Centre this weekend. The special four-course menu, called Manga Madness, will feature bites such as tuna tataki Spider-Man daikon web with apple ginger dressing; fried soft shell crab Beast with wasabi mayonnaise; and the Miss Invisible dish. Ramusake to open doors next month
Ramusake, a new Japanese fine-dining restaurant, is scheduled to open next month at Doubletree by Hilton Jumeirah Beach Residence. The London brand, which is owned by nightlife entrepreneur Piers Adams, will feature dishes inspired by the popular izakaya dining concept, as well as a robata counter. Expect favourites from Ramusake London’s menu to turn up here, including dishes such as tuna sashimi pizza with wasabi tobiko and truffle ponzu, and fried chicken karaage sliders with kimchi mayo and pickles. The restaurant will be open daily from 4pm to 2am.
Johnny and the Walkers to perform
La Petite Maison will host Johnny and the Walkers next week, a four-piece band based on the French Riviera. The band will fly in to play at the restaurant for two nights and perform classic jazz, hits from the Beatles, songs from the 1960s, and some of the best contemporary hits.
