The Sheraton Abu Dhabi Hotel and Resort on the Corniche is holding their Ramadan iftars at its Flavours Restaurants, and the Iranian Grill more than lives up to the venue’s namesake.
You can find the dish located in the corner of the meat section, beside the lamb ouzi. Another option is to follow the mouth watering smells of the sumac and turmeric which shall surely lead you to the glistening plate filled with lambs, koftas and diced chicken.
The koftas was soft and tender with each bite releasing hidden reserves of spices and herbs. The lamb was juicy with some pieces providing a welcome crispiness. The turmeric-laced chicken, when mixed with a side serving of garlic-yogurt, is another flavoursome treat.
Saffron rice and the aforementioned garlic-yogurt are placed besides the grill platter, which when all combined together with the meats makes a formidable iftar dish in its own right.
Iftar at Flavours Restaurant is Dh155 plus taxes. For details call 02 677 3333 or visit www.sheratonabudhabihotel.com
