It’s official – the world’s best Irish pub grub is found in the UAE.
That’s the verdict of the judging panel at the Irish Pubs Global Awards, anyway, who declared the capital’s very own McGettigan’s Abu Dhabi winner of its prestigious Best International Irish Pub Food gong.
The awards recognise the Emerald Isle’s best drinkeries at home and abroad, and were held as part of part of the fifth annual Irish Pubs Global Federation Gathering, hosted at Dublin from September 26 to 28.
“It’s the love and the care that we put into our dishes that make our food so special and loved,” said McGettigan’s executive chef Derek Flynn.
As well as traditional Irish fare, the chain accommodates regional palettes with a variety of culinary offerings from across the globe.
