Lebanese chain Kababji to open express outlet in Abu Dhabi

Kababji Express is coming to Abu Dhabi. The popular Lebanese chain will open the capital’s first Kababji Express in The Galleria Mall on Al Maryah Island next month. It will be the first Kababji Express outside of Lebanon.

Kababji’s franchisee for the Middle East — Eathos — recently opened two, full-service (dine-in) Kababji restaurants in Dubai: one in the The Dubai Mall and one on the Dubai Marina Promenade. While the first outlet in Abu Dhabi is an express location in The Galleria’s food court, there are plans to bring a full service Kababji restaurant to the capital later this year.

Faysal Younes, CEO of Eathos, says: “Abu Dhabi, with its large Levantine and Arab population, is an ideal market for Kababji which serves ... traditional recipes enhanced by the brand’s own proprietary spices. Residents and visitors to Abu Dhabi also love to try Middle Eastern food so the outlook is good. We hope to be able to announce the second Abu Dhabi Kababji within a few months.”

Kababji first opened in Jounieh in northern Lebanon in 1993. The restaurant quickly became a success — and is known for serving up homestyle, healthy grilled meats — fast. For more information, visit www.kababji.com.
