Dubai’s famous indoor rainforest is home to over 3,000 plants and animals, and it’s just added another attraction to its roster. The family-destination has just revealed The Green Planet Cafe, a completely outdoor, rainforest-themed venue, complete with a children’s play area.

The cafe will be open daily from 10am to 7pm, providing guests with a “jungle-esque” breakfast, lunch and dinner menu. The all-day breakfast menu includes dishes like the Green Benedict, cheesy potato pancakes, Portobello mushrooms, asparagus, cream spinach, poached egg and truffle cream sauce as well as the Green Planet Big Breakfast. The health-conscious can opt for dishes like the Acai bowl, while those with a sweet tooth can indulge in bubble waffles or banana bread French toast.

Meanwhile, the lunch menu, which is available from 12pm onwards, includes a range of salads, burgers, pizzas and pastas.

This is a family-friendly joint at the end of the day so it’s only natural for the cafe to include a children's menu with dishes like scrambled eggs, pancakes, pizzas and hot dogs making the cut. Adding to the fun is a play area for the little ones, with soft play slides, climbing elements and a giant ball pit.

The Green Planet  is a popular edutainment destination in the region, giving children and adults the opportunity to view wildlife such as South American toucans, emerald tree boas, Tamarin monkeys, sloths, lizards, spiders, frogs and more, within its temperature-regulated four-story glass bio-dome

Guests at the new cafe may be lucky enough to catch a glimpse of some of the wildlife too -  The Green Planet’s biologists do occasionally “adventure outside” with its slithery guests.
