This newly opened hotel is welcoming its first guests with a lavish iftar. The all-you-can-eat spread features global cuisine as well as local tastes – curry, biryani, sushi, dim sum, barbecued fish served on banana leaves, grilled fish, a roast beef carving station and much more. Desserts include Umm Ali, kunafeh, a chocolate fountain, a crêpe and waffle station, and a range of Arabic-inspired homemade ice creams that include flavours such as date, saffron pistachio, star anise and hibiscus.

Urban Bistro, Dubai Media City
For an alternative to all those iftar buffets, grab an iftar box from Urban Bistro. The healthy three-course boxes include a zaatar whole roasted chicken (can feed two people), homemade labneh or a choice of urban detox, a choice of roasted vegetables, quinoa salad, rice or green salad, and your choice of an Urban Bistro dessert. It also comes with a bottle of water.
