The East India Company has opened its doors in Avenue, the chic shopping destination at Etihad Towers in Abu Dhabi. This is East India’s first store in the UAE and the third in the Middle East.
The store carries fine teas and coffee; artisan sweet and savoury biscuits; chocolates; and jams and marmalades. The shop will also sell the company’s handcrafted bone china and porcelain for tea and coffee. Each piece is painted by master craftsmen using mineral paints and 18 carat gold.
For Ramadan, the East India Company is offering bespoke hampers which include a variety of delicacies. The Tea Selection hamper includes an array of premium teas from around the world, including Darjeeling from India and jasmine blossom from China. East India Company’s Tea Master selects the teas for the company, which has a direct relationship with tea estates. Because the company works so closely with tea estates, they stock the freshest tea around — with each tea arriving in-store within 28 days of the leaves being picked in the estates.
The East India Company is located in podium one of Avenue at Etihad Towers. For more information, call 02 681 0813.
