Check out the Singapore Food Carnival this Friday at Burj Plaza in Dubai.

The one-day food festival will celebrate the best of Singaporean cuisine. Guests will get a taste of authentic, classic Singaporean dishes such as satay (spiced meat on a skewer); Hainanese chicken rice; laksa (rice vermicelli served in a coconut-based broth); mee goreng (egg noodles stir-fried with Southeast Asian spices) and more.

Organised by the Singapore Embassy in Abu Dhabi, the Consulate-General in Dubai and Singapore Community Clubs across Dubai, this year’s food carnival is expected to attract 2,000 Singaporeans and UAE residents. There will be games and entertainment from Singapore as well as kids’ activities to keep little ones entertained. The event is free of charge and open to all nationalities.

The Singaporean Food Carnival is Friday (January 15) from 11am to 4:30pm at Burj Plaza on Sheikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Boulevard in Dubai. The event’s guest of honour is His Excellency Umej Bhatia, Ambassador of the Republic of Singapore to the United Arab Emirates.
