Abu Dhabi Foodie News: A new Thai dessert platter, kids eat free at Lana’s Partiperfect Cafe and more

• Courtyard by Marriott World Trade Center in Abu Dhabi debuts its Big Brunch tomorrow (August 7) in The Bistro. The best part? It’s a value brunch that won’t break your bank account. Diners can feast on a buffet featuring international cuisine with unlimited soft beverages for just Dh135. For unlimited select beverages, it’s Dh250. Main dishes include a range of tastes such as seafood thermidor; lamb navarin (French lamb stew); wok-fried roast beef with Sichuan pickles; and Cajun chicken breast. • Head over to the Eastern Mangroves Resort & Spa by Anantara and try the new Thai dessert sharing platter at Pachaylen. The platter includes four desserts: sticky rice and sweet mango; coconut sago; tapioca pudding; and baked bean cake. • Take the kids over to Lana’s Partiperfect Cafe where they’ll eat for free each Saturday throughout August. Kids under age 12 can choose one free meal from the kids’ menu with each adult meal purchased. Adults will have no problem finding a satisfying meal for themselves. The menu features an extensive selection of wraps, sandwiches, salads, pizzas, pasta dishes, mains, sushi, dim sum and more. Lana’s is open from 8am to 6pm Saturday through Thursday. • To celebrate their one-year anniversary, Choice Cut Steakhouse in the Novotel Abu Dhabi Al Bustan is treating guests throughout the month of August. Guests who dine at Choice throughout August will receive a voucher for 50 per cent off their next meal at the restaurant. In the year since Choice opened, Chef Akil Ahmad and his team have honed their meat-cooking skills as they’ve served up nearly 5,000 French tenderloin steaks, more than 900 rotisserie chickens and more than 500 one kg tomahawk steaks. • The Japanese restaurant and bakery Mikado Cafe in Khalidiyah has just launched a new bread basket promotion.
