The Dubai Design District and City Walk precincts are becoming quite the destinations for eating out, with new restaurants and cafes opening in the mixed used retail hubs every other week.
Chez Charles is one of the latest eateries to throw open its doors. Located at d3, the city’s creative hub adjacent to Business Bay, the outlet serves French cuisine and offers a vibrant atmosphere combined with Parisian brasserie influences. The main dining area seats 80 guests, while the outdoor terrace can comfortably seat 30 patrons.
The menu at Chez Charles , which is open daily from 9am, features a selection of salads, seafood, poultry, meat and pasta.
Meanwhile, City Walk, which has already had some flagship openings in recent months including Lima Dubai (Virgilio Martinez) and Dragonfly (Tim Raue), is set to welcome some more new flavours to its mixed retail space this month in the form of Eshak, an international restaurant with a contemporary approach to Middle Eastern cuisine, and Demoiselle by Galvin, a French/Mediterranean culinary venture by the UK's Galvin brothers.
Eshak, which is due to open on March 28, is a fusion restaurant out of Russia that uses Uzbek flavours and blends Caucasian, Armenian, Georgian, European and Middle Eastern tastes, while Demoiselle by Galvin, which opened this past week, is the first of two Dubai outlets from Galvin Restaurants to open in the emirate this year.
It provides diners with a simple yet varied menu, similar to that of their Harrods London outlet, while the other, a fine-dining establishment is set to open in later in the year.
