Sean Connery was voted the best 007 in a recent Radio Times poll, in which 14,000 people voted, thanks to his performance in titles such as Dr No and Goldfinger.
However, the Scottish actor has also been an enduring favourite on the red carpet for decades.
Connery, who will mark his 90th birthday on Tuesday, August 25, made his big screen debut in 1957, though his breakthrough role came when he took over the part of Bond in 1962.
The Oscar-winning actor, who won the Best Supporting Academy Award for 1988's The Untouchables, has as keen an eye for a slick suit as his 007 counterpart, having perfected a penchant for tailoring at premieres aplenty.
Connery also is known to give a nod to his heritage, often donning a splash of tartan at awards ceremonies.
