One of the fashion industry's biggest celebrity-meets-sportswear partnerships, Rihanna's Fenty X Puma line is back for another season. Footwear from the collection for spring/summer 2017 will be launching in stores worldwide on Thursday, March 9.
For spring/summer 2017, the slide is presented with an oversized satin bow, available in olive and pink shades. A similar design is featured in the form of laceless trainers and zip-up platform boots — although these aren’t nearly as sleek as the slides, or as practical as the popular Creeper platform trainers from previous Fenty X Puma collections.
The final, and perhaps most striking, piece in the collection is essentially a stiletto version of the Puma basket shoe. The brand’s signature wave motif is featured along the side, and the lace-up heels are accompanied by wide ankle straps emblazoned with the word Puma in gothic lettering. These are available in light pink, silver-blue and camel tones.
Rihanna aptly sums up the mood of the collection: “It is as if Marie Antoinette went to the gym.”
