Kate Middleton totes Turkish label Manu Atelier on official engagement

It wasn't the first time the royal has sported the Istanbul brand, either

Whatever she touches tends to turn to sold, so those hoping to follow in the Duchess of Cambridge's ever-fashionable footsteps might need to be quick.

The royal last week stepped out in the British city of Blackpool for an official engagement with her husband, Prince William, and took along a small-but-stylish Turkish design for the outing.

The duchess clasped a forest-green, top-handle bag from Manu Atelier during her visit, offsetting her moss Sportmax coat. With its dainty hardware and flap closure, the bag packed a punch despite its minute stature, proving why the brand has become a wardrobe staple of style mavens such as Sarah Jessica Parker and Eva Chen.

Manu Atelier, which was founded in 2014, is the label of Beste and Merve Manastir, two Turkish sisters who were inspired by their father, a leather-goods craftsman on Istanbul's Istiklal Avenue.

"We grew up in the workshop and saw his talents – not because he was our father but because of the dedication he put into each piece he designed," the duo told Harrods. "Today we work alongside him to come up with innovative and beautiful shapes and styles."

The brand is focused on creating modern silhouettes using the finest fabrics and traditional techniques, and is set to expand into footwear, according to recent Instagram Stories.

Her engagement in Blackpool wasn't the first time the Duchess of Cambridge has worn Manu Atelier, either; the mother-of-three, who is known for her preference for re-wearing key pieces, first clutched the mini Monte bag at the Victoria & Albert Museum opening in Dundee on January 29.

Pairing it with a tartan Alexander McQueen coat, also from her archives, the bag swiftly sold out online at the time. A pure leather version is currently available for €495 (Dh2,043) on Manu Atelier's website, but we imagine it won't be in stock for much longer...
