Dubai's Safa Park was lit up tonight by the string lights of a big top, the setting of <a href="https://www.thenational.ae/lifestyle/fashion/in-a-world-first-dior-is-bringing-the-fun-of-the-fair-to-dubai-this-evening-1.838369">Dior's much anticipated spring 2019 Dubai haute couture show.</a> The bedazzling collection, which was first shown in Paris in January, offered a high-fashion twist on a circus theme, with models walking the runway in ruffled playsuits, hand embroidered gossamer skirts, caped Bar jackets and sequined gowns. In a nod to the host city, Dior's formidable artistic director, Maria Grazia Chiuri, created 15 special looks, including stunning knife-pleat metallic gowns and a colourful, ruffled polka dot skirt with a tiered, trailing cape that closed the show.
