When it comes to making fashion statements on the red carpet, Angelina Jolie has the Midas touch.

From her leg-poking 2012 Oscars dress, to an armour-esque sequinned gown at a 2019 Maleficent premiere, the American actress has become a dab hand at creating trend headlines over the years.

Jolie, 45, has had some time to develop her sartorial signature, after scoring her first first leading role in 1995's Hackers.

The Academy Award-winning star, who took home Best Supporting Actress in 2000 for her performance in Girl, Interrupted, has seamlessly morphed from Gothic-inspired glamour to retro-influenced Hollywood finesse during her time in the spotlight, with an eye for clean lines, block colours and skilful tailoring.

With the help of a few favoured labels, such as Versace and Ralph & Russo, Jolie has become one of the red carpet's most reliable stars, whether turning up in sharp androgynous suiting or ethereal sequinned numbers.
