Thatcher's suits go on auction at Christie's

Margaret Thatcher's famed suits are going to be sold as part of Christie's British-themed auction on September 3. The pieces to be sold include the former British prime minister's yellow and navy skirt suit by Mansfield and a glossy Susan Small cocktail coat.

Kardashians design for Dorothy Perkins

Khloe, Kim and Kourtney Kardashian are collaborating with Sir Philip Green to work on a collection for the British retailer Dorothy Perkins. The 100-piece collection of clothing and accessories will launch in November. A footwear collection is in the works for 2013.

Narciso Rodriguez for Banana Republic

The New York-based designer Narciso Rodriguez was recently hired as Banana Republic's new design adviser. He'll be working with Simon Knee, Banana Republic's vice-president and creative director. The first collection involving Rodriguez will be for autumn/winter 2013.

Diana Vreeland gets tribute on Rodeo Drive

The late Vogue US editor Diana Vreeland is receiving a plaque on Rodeo Drive's "Walk of Style", becoming the first magazine editor to receive such a tribute. The plaque will be presented to her family on September 10.
