If you’re still in the process of finalising your plans for the long weekend and are on the lookout for family-friendly activities, here’s an offer not to “Lego” of.

Legoland Dubai will be reopening to the public on Tuesday, December 1, just in time for the UAE National Day holidays. And, to make the much-awaited reopening all the better, it is offering a 49 per cent discount on ticket prices over the long weekend.

Besides the discounted tickets, the park will be bringing back its UAE Hand Salute Lego Model, made from 108,231 Lego bricks, the perfect backdrop for that family selfie.

Picture opportunities aside, families can enjoy the park’s themed rides and attractions, from the Dragon Coaster to the Lost Kingdom adventure.

Meanwhile, Lego fans can enjoy a visit to Miniland, where they will be able to find replicas of key buildings that make up the Dubai skyline, as well as other landmarks from around the world, made from more than 20 million Lego bricks.

The park’s retail stores as well as the Lego-themed restaurants will also be open.

Legoland Dubai was one of the Dubai Parks and Resorts' theme parks to temporarily close in March 2020 owing to the coronavirus pandemic. Motiongate Dubai reopened in September, while dates are yet to be announced for the reopening of Legoland Water Park.

In preparing to welcome back visitors, the park has put hygiene and safety measures in place, including temperature checks on arrival, one-way entry and exit systems, social distancing markers and an enhanced cleaning initiative, in line with government regulations.

The UAE National Day ticket offer can only be availed online and is available to book for visits between Tuesday, December 1 and Saturday, December 5. The theme park will be open Tuesday, December 1 to Friday, December 4, 10am-8pm; and on Saturday, December 5, 10am-6pm .

Following this, the general opening times will be Saturday to Wednesday, 10am-6pm; and on Thursdays and Fridays, 10am-8pm.
