Thankfully, there is a silver lining to the sad news that Sir Elton John is retiring.
Having shocked the world on January 24 by announcing that after one final, three-year tour, he would be hanging up his stage costumes for good, John then cheered us all up again by choosing Gucci to design his outfits.
Could there be a better pairing? Elton John, the consummate performer, showman and show-off, will be dressed by Alessandro Michele, the over-the-top, no-holds-barred showman of fashion.
Given that both men have a proclivity for cloaks, sequins and diamanté, and will never shy away from brocades and multicoloured glasses, practically guarantees that the audience will be in for an unforgettable spectacle at the Farewell Yellow Brick Road tour. It will be brilliant, it will be emotional, it will be covered in pearls. And it will be exactly the right note for the legendary singer to bow out on.

Labour dispute
The insured employee may still file an ILOE claim even if a labour dispute is ongoing post termination, but the insurer may suspend or reject payment, until the courts resolve the dispute, especially if the reason for termination is contested. The outcome of the labour court proceedings can directly affect eligibility.
