To celebrate Shah Rukh Khan's 54th birthday on Saturday, November 2, the Burj Khalifa lit up in his honour.
The Dilwale star posted a video of the tribute on social media, thanking Emaar and its chairman, Mohamed Alabbar, for the gesture.
"Thanks for making me shine so bright," the Bollywood star wrote on Twitter. "Your love and kindness is unsurpassable. Wow! This is really the tallest I have ever been. Love [you] Dubai. It’s my birthday and I’m the guest!"
A familiar face in the UAE, Khan starred in Dubai Tourism's Be My Guest promotional series, encouraging people to explore the emirate with their loved ones.
Earlier in the day, the actor posted a video from a packed theatre in Mumbai, where he celebrated turning 54 with a group of loyal fans. The megastar had a golden birthday cake, which he cut into on the stage.

He started his birthday by greeting gathered fans from the balcony of his Mumbai home. Spotting Khan on his balcony is a semi-regular occurrence for fans of the actor. He always makes an appearance on Eid Al Fitr, making one this year with American talk show host David Letterman.
Khan makes no secret of how much he owes to his loyal fans.
Back in June this year, he released a video to mark 27 years in the movie industry on the anniversary of the release of Deewana, his debut movie.
"Hi guys, I want to say a big thank you for 27 years in Indian cinema, which is exactly half my life time on Earth. I have been trying to entertain you for over 20 years, and some times I have succeeded, and many times I have failed. So I want to thank you for bearing with me for so many years since I came on a motorcycle in a film called Deewana singing Koi Na Koi Chahiye and rode right into your hearts," he said.
"And you not only allowed me right into your hearts, but also allowed me to stay there for so many years. Thank you very much."
