DUBAI // The Expo 2020 team on Tuesday presented a detailed overview of an important registration document to the organisation that oversees world fairs.
The thorough brief about organisation, operational structure, policies, procedures, theme and future plans were outlined before the general assembly of the Bureau International des Expositions in Paris.
“We have established a solid governance structure, developed a robust strategy and team and have a nation eager to host an extraordinary first World Expo for the region,” said Manal Al Bayat, vice president of Engagement for Expo 2020 Dubai, according to state news agency Wam.
This meeting is the last update for the BIE before the registration document is submitted. The team also highlighted recent initiatives including participation in Expo 2015 Milan, engagement campaigns and the new logo design competition to build awareness about the history and value of World Expos.
