American Express Gold Credit Card
Benefits: The credit card is great for access to travel lounges across the Middle East and comes with complimentary travel insurance. Members can earn one point for every Dh4 spent, which can be redeemed on 12 airlines including Emirates and Etihad.
Watch out for: The card has a minimum salary requirement of Dh20,000, an annual fee of Dh395 and an annual rewards programme fee of Dh95. There is no cashback reward option.
Emirates NBD Skywards Infinite
Benefits: The card comes with a complimentary Skywards Silver membership and provides users with access to more than 500 airport lounges, concierge services and valet parking at certain malls in Abu Dhabi and Dubai. Users get one mile for every US$1 spent in the UAE and two miles for every dollar spent on the Emirates website.
Watch out for: There is a minimum salary requirement of Dh30,000 and an annual fee of Dh1,500.
ADCB Etihad Guest Above Infinite Card
Benefits: The card comes with a welcome bonus of 50,000 Etihad Guest miles. Users can earn two miles for every US$1 spent locally and three miles for every dollar spent on the Etihad website or overseas. The card gives access to travel insurance, class upgrade vouchers and free rounds of golf. Users can also take advantage of a complimentary chauffeur service.
Watch out for: A minimum salary of Dh40,000 and an annual fee of Dh2,500.
