Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, has directed the department of police operations at Abu Dhabi to activate a service to deal with photographic/video reports sent through mobile phones, in order to reduce response time and increase effectiveness.
The service is a new technical project that enables police officers receiving images to form a clearer idea about some reports that require field assessment to determine the logistical requirements for response.
He encouraged the team in charge of the service to simplify its usage procedures to enable all categories of the public to use it with ease.
The new service allows the sender to attack a link to a video or a photo taken of an unfolding incident and send it directly to the police operations centre.
