Ajman residents can now use an Apple Watch to pay traffic fines

Drivers in Ajman can now use an Apple Watch app to pay for parking tickets and fines.

Named Mawqifi, the app was launched by the Ajman Municipality and Planning Department during Gulf Traffic Week.

The app, which can downloaded from the Apple Store, will allow drivers to pay for parking in three steps. However, those who find themselves needing more time can also top-up if needed.

Other functions of the app include a notification function that gives users a warning 10 minutes before their parking time is up.

The app also allows users to pay for parking fines and purchase long-term parking if needed.
