If you have to ask, you probably can’t afford it.
A private jet company is offering the capital’s dedicated followers of fashion the chance of flying to the Milan Fashion Week – for Dh150,000.
The five-day trip to next month’s Milan Fashion Week will include a private jet flight, luxury accommodation, dinners hosted by top designers and invitations to their parties.
The tour, which will take place from September 18 to 23, will be available for 18 women.
They will be accompanied by Countess Alda Balestra von Stauffenberg, a top model in the late ‘70s and ‘80s, who will give them access to the most influential fashion personalities and the most exclusive of fashion events.
“The UAE is a country with a love for fashion. You only have to visit the malls in the UAE to see the popularity of famous design houses such as Prada, Valentino, Roberto Cavalli, and Dolce and Gabbana.” said Shane O’Hare, the chief executive of Royal Jet.
Despite the eyebrow-raising cost of the trip, there are people who will be willing to pay, according to Manar Al Hinai, a fashion designer and columnist for The National.
“In general, UAE women are very fashion-savvy and always on the lookout for exclusive fashion experiences,” she said. “I see that this will be very popular in the UAE.”
Earlier this year, Royal Jet ran a football-themed flight aimed at big-spending supporters – an overnight trip to north-west England to see Manchester City face Barcelona in the Uefa Champions League.
