Benefits: Emirates NBD account holders can send up to Dh200,000 home either online or through mobile banking and the transaction is free. The funds will arrive in your home account by the next day with no remittance fees added on.

Standard Chartered low-cost transfers
Benefits: Log into your online Standard Chartered account and enjoy a more than 70 per discount on online fund transfer charges. Local fund transfers will now cost Dh10 per transaction and international currency transfers Dh25 per transaction. The offer applies to retail banking customers only.
Beware: Transfer transactions carried out at Standard Chartered branches will continue to be charged the standard rate of Dh100 per transaction.
