Budget Rent-a-Car Gateway
Benefits: Receive one point for every Dh1 spent with the accumulated points redeemable against future rental charges within the UAE. The points can also be used for vehicle upgrades, GPS and baby seat rental, collision damage waiver and personal accident insurance.
Watch out for: Gateway members must have a minimum 5,000 points (Dh50 in redemption value) to start enjoying benefits.
Air Miles shopping rewards
Benefits: Spend at selected shops or services in the UAE, Oman and Bahrain including Spinneys, Sharaf DG, Rotana, damas and Al Ansari Exchange and earn one, two or three Air Miles for every Dh1 spent. Air Miles can then be redeemed for travel – including flights and accommodation – directly at participating retail stores or online at the Air Miles store.
Watch out for: Miles do have expiry dates so be sure to use them rather than lose them.
Sirius, Jumeirah rewards programme
Benefits: With three tiers of membership – blue, silver and gold – cardholders can earn one Sirius point for every $3 spent at Jumeirah hotels globally whether at a Jumeirah restaurant, spa, retail store, waterpark or hotel. The three tiers entitle cardholders to a different levels of benefits – from 10 per cent discounts for spas or leisure facilities for blue members to complimentary airport transfers for gold members.
Watch out for: Sirius Points are valid only for two years.
