On Sunday The National will launch a new column to help readers better solve their debt problems.
Called The Debt Panel, the column will feature four money experts who can help readers address their issues in a more constructive way.
The panel includes: Jamal Alvi, the chief credit officer at Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank; Ambareen Musa, the founder and chief executive of the comparison website Souqalmal.com; Rasheda Khatun, a wealth and wellness planner; and Keren Bobker, The National's On Your Side columnist and an independent financial adviser with Holborn Assets in Dubai.
The launch will include a round-table with the four columnists to discuss the issues surrounding mounting personal debt in the UAE from what is driving this trend, along with the UAE’s regulatory environment and whether psychology is a factor behind an individual’s decision to take on more loans and credit cards.
