If you are burning with curiosity to get a glimpse inside Google's headquarters, then The Internship, now showing in UAE cinemas, is the film for you. You will discover a world where staff nap in sleep pods and cycle around spacious parkland on bicycles in Google's distinctive colours; stairwells are littered with Google-coloured beanbags and inviting cafes churn out endless free, nutritious food.
It's an office worker's paradise, but beyond the tantalising backdrop of the Google workplace, there is also a light - albeit slightly cheesy - comedy playing out in a film that reunites the stars of The Wedding Crashers - Vince Vaughn and Owen Wilson.
The 15-rated film, co-written by Vaughn himself, tells the story of two washed-up salesmen who get a second chance with a coveted internship at the leading search engine.
The laughs may be predictable as they initially fail in their quest for a job against the other younger, hipper candidates, but it doesn't mean you won't laugh.
Comedy moments include the duo's dated understanding of IT such as Vaughn's repeated references to "on the line" rather than "online" and a night out on which the ageing stars finally bond with their fellow interns.
While the critics have doomed the flick to failure and early box office stats are disappointing, the chance to nose into the Google lifestyle could be enough to draw in audiences.
Because there's no doubt what really made the film was the tie-up between Google and the scriptwriters.
While most of the movie was shot at the Georgia Institute of Technology in Atlanta, access to Google's headquarters, employees and culture lent authenticity to the film with portions shot at the tech giant's Silicon Valley campus - a visual feast for those who'd love to know what it's like to work there. There is even a cameo from the Google co-founder Sergey Brin. He is seen riding a cycling contraption early in the movie and later delivers a short line to Vaughn and Wilson.
It may not be the box office smash hoped for, but when you walk into work the next day you will wish your office was a little more "googlicious".
