Trump asks Opec to "increase the flow" of oil in latest tweet against the group

US President said world oil markets were too fragile

US President Donald Trump went after Opec again in a tweet on Thursday saying oil prices “were too high” and asked the group currently undertaking production cuts to “increase the flow” of crude.

"Very important that OPEC increase the flow of Oil. World Markets are fragile, price of Oil getting too high. Thank you!,” Mr Trump tweeted on Thursday.

Opec led by Saudi Arabia and sovereign producers led by Russia have been undertaking corrections in supply to the tune of 1.2 million barrels per day since the beginning of January. At a technical meeting of the alliance dubbed Opec+ this month, the producers decided to stay the course of output curbs.

Oil prices have tanked over the last couple of days with benchmark trading at $67.68 on Thursday.
