Air Seychelles today said that it would launch two flights a week from December 2 to Tanzania’s capital Dar es Salaam from Mahé.
Also, Emirates said that it was bringing forward the launch of its second daily A380 service to Mauritius to October 26 from December 1.
Air Seychelles said that it would use an A320 aircraft to Dar es Salaam, which will also offer 7.2 tonnes of weekly cargo capacity, enhancing trade opportunities with the country.
Air Seychelles expects a mixture of electronics, machinery and pharmaceuticals to be carried into Dar es Salaam, with primarily fresh goods loaded for the return flight.
Emirates last month signed a partnership agreement with Nigeria’s Arik Air that opens up new routes throughout western Africa for the Dubai carrier.
