I have had an issue with Mashreq since August last year. Teller transaction fees have been debited from our company's account. This is in spite of the fact we hardly have any cashier transactions as cheques are deposited in the cash/cheque deposit machine and payments are made online or by cheque. Since the charges were applied it has become a monthly exercise to reverse the charges. To their credit, my relationship managers have managed to reverse the charges (except for March and April this year). However, they have been unable to stop the charges being debited every month. I got in touch with my contacts at Mashreq as the debiting and then re-crediting of these fees is a waste of time for both the bank and their customer. Within a few days the bank responded to say: “We have investigated this and would like to confirm that the charges were reversed successfully. Please note we are in constant contact with our customer and have been addressing all his queries.” Mr M confirmed he has been contacted by the bank and that the fees for both March and April have been re-credited.
