Abu Dhabi Oil 2014

  • Arabic

Abu Dhabi will tender the rights to some of its biggest oilfields by 2014, shaking a partnership with major oil companies that dates back when the emirate was still part of the Trucial States.

Putting the concession up for bidding would represent a departure from the Abu Dhabi's usual method of private negotiations for oil and gas rights, and choosing the right partners would be crucial for the emirate's future.
