Ever wanted to escape to your very own waterfront villa in the Maldives?
Well here is your chance - and the best part is the property will make money when you are back in the UAE working to pay for it.
Upmarket estate agent Savills is marketing villas at the Six Senses Laamu resort ranging in price from £1,881,300 (Dh10,984,915) to £5,016,800.
Situated on the Laamu atoll, the eco-friendly villas sit on the white powder-sand beach or over the crystal clear turquoise waters of the lagoon.
The properties, which come with a butler each, are being offered on a 47-year lease term and are fully transferable, allowing owners to take advantage of any capital appreciation.
Buyers can use their villas for up to 60 days a year, but they must specify when they will be in residence upon enrolment so it can be kept out of the resort's inventory for the following year.
The net income generated from the rental will be shared between the villa owner and the resort on a 50-50 basis.
If the thought of carting over your holiday clothes each time you take up residence in the tropical paradise sounds like a hassle, do not fear. Each comes with an air-conditioned, de-humidified, lockable storage area where belongings can be kept and placed in the property on your return.
Each villa has a useable area of 350 square metres, with a master bedroom featuring an indoor - and outdoor - bathroom, an ensuite guest bedroom and a dining and living area with a pantry.
Properties over the water have padded day-beds, a treetop deck and an all-glass bathtub, and are accessed by weathered wooden jetties and surrounded by high bamboo fences to ensure privacy, while those on the beach are surrounded by tropical forest and have sun loungers, a treetop deck and an open-air bamboo encircled shower.
