Now you hear it, now you don’t.

Only 12 hours after former One Direction-er Malik dropped the demo version for the solo track, I Wont Mind, earlier today on his Sound Cloud account, the song was deleted with no explanation.

Perhaps it has something to do with producer Naught Boy upsetting some of Malik’s jilted former bandmates.

After bragging on his Twitter account of his work with Malik and a new album to be released next year, One Direction member Louis Tomlinson reprimanded Naughty Boy with the scathing tweet:”Wow @NaughtyBoyMusic you’re so inconsiderate pal, seriously how (expletive) old are you? Grow up ! #masterofallwisdom”

Cue the millions of angry tweets from One Direction fan, followed by the new trending hashtag #SuspendNaughtyBoy and that was enough for Malik to pull the plug.

Despite the drama, there is a lot to enjoy about I Wont Mind; the folky track shows plenty of signs that Malik wont be pining for his One Direction days anytime soon.

The acoustic song is brooding and has Malik sound convincingly despondent and vulnerable with the chorus declaring “we are who we are when no one’s watching/And right from the start, you know I got you.“

Despite Malik quitting One Direction suddenly last week in the middle of the world tour (and only nine days before their sold out April 4 show at the Dubai Sevens Stadium), the now four piece boy band are pressing ahead with the remaining dates and intend to return to the studio later this year to record a new album.

One Direction will perform at The Sevens Stadium Dubai on Saturday, April 4. Doors open at 4pm and the show begins at 8pm. Tickets are sold out. For more details, visit www.doneevents.com
