Students from Winchester School went to a Dubai studio recently to record an old Beatles classic.
Over a dozen students students from the Dubai school went to JR Studio at Dubai Studio City to record Get By With A Little Help From My Friends.
The video, shot by renowned American photographer Mustafa Davis, was posted on YouTube on October 3 and has already clocked up more than 13,000 views.
The recording, arranged and produced by JR Studio's Benammi and Idris Phillip, is part of the Winchester and Friends in Harmony initiative launched by two ex-students with the aim of spreading global peace.
Winchester School principal Ranju Anand said she was proud of her students.
“We have students and staff from over 90 different nationalities,” she said.
“In such a beautiful community, peace and harmony comes naturally and becomes a habit."
Majid Hussain, owner of JR Studio, said he was pleased with the end product.
“It is not every day that you get the opportunity to work with people who are striving for peace and a better world and it was our pleasure to work with them,” he said.
Davis said he was impressed with the students' characters throughout the recording process.
“It’s rare to meet such a talented group of young adults who are so keenly interested in promoting peace in the world,” he said.
“I look forward to following their careers as I'm sure they are destined to do great things. It was an honor to work with them and I'm grateful for the opportunity to be a part of such a noble endeavor.”
