Vogue rattles with Kardashian cover

Kim Kardashian is on the cover of the April issue of American Vogue, unleashing a torrent of Twitter outrage. Kardashian appears in a wedding gown in the arms of her fiance, Kanye West, over the headline: "Kim & Kanye: Their Fashionable Life and Surreal Times" and the hashtag #worldsmosttalkedaboutcouple. Fashion enthusiasts flocked to Twitter to challenge Vogue's new issue. "Hell hath frozen over," tweeted the Canadian fashion magazine Flare. Vogue's editor Anna Wintour wrote in the magazine: "You may have read that Kanye begged me to put his fiancée on Vogue's cover. Kate Bush plans a return to the stage

Kate Bush is coming back to the London stage after a 35-year break from performing. The surprise move came on Friday when she announced she will play 15 concerts at the Eventim Apollo in London. The shows begin on August 26 and continue until September. The 55-year-old pop singer has largely stayed out of the public eye for decades but has occasionally released new material. – AP

Sanjay Dutt returns to jail

The Bollywood actor Sanjay Dutt returned to the Yerawada jail in Pune yesterday after his extended parole ended on Friday. The supreme court had upheld Dutt's conviction under the Arms Act in the 1993 Mumbai serial-bombings case and reduced an original six-year sentence to five. The 55-year-old actor has sought two parole extensions, stating that his wife Manyata was unwell and needed medical care. – IANS

Italian nun storms The Voice

A Catholic nun has become an overnight pop sensation after stunning the jury of Italy's The Voice with her version of Alicia Keys' Noone Sister Christina Scuccia, a 25-year-old Sicilian, bopped about on the stage in her black habit on Wednesday's show, sparking wild cheers from the audience and stunned reactions from the four judges. One of the judges, the Italian rapper J-Ax, said he was "moved to tears". Asked by the judge Raffaella Carrà what the Vatican thinks about her going on a talent show, she quipped: "I'm waiting for a call from the pope."– AFP
