2010's robotic third-person shooter offered thumb-bashing relief for those who, perhaps, were tired of Michael Bay and Shia LaBeouf trampling over their childhood memories. The sequel takes things to the next level, with the Autobots and Decepticons locked in a final battle which, ultimately, leads to Optimus and his gang fleeing into space (and we all know where they go). Like the original, you control a variety of bots from both sides, each with their own special skills and the ability to transform at the push of a button. But, perhaps, the most exciting addition is the Optimus-controlled Metroplex, a city-sized robot who can pretty much take out anything.

GameFest returns to Dubai

Trapped indoors with your video games, away from (real) human interaction for a bit too long? This weekend's GameFest could be just the dose of fresh air you need. Taking place at the Living Rooms Cafe in Dubai Festival City, the event will give gamers a chance to try out the latest releases, with a special showing of the new PlayStation Vita, plus Counter-Strike and Fifa tournaments. There will also be an exclusive preview of the HP Elite Phoenix gaming PC, which sounds as though it might be a bit more powerful than the laptop this is being written on.
