Run DMC performed for the first time in more than a decade on Sunday at the Made in America festival in Philadelphia. Hawke confirms third Before Sunrise
Ethan Hawke has announced to MTV News that he and the director Richard Linklater are in Greece writing a third part to their 1995 romantic drama Before Sunrise. "If it works out, we'll film it, and if it doesn't, we won't," said Hawke. "It's super good. We're here workshopping it, trying to create a great script." The film's other star, Julie Delpy, told New York magazine last month that she is co-writing the script with Linklater and Hawke.
Gosling to direct Hendricks in debut
Ryan Gosling is set to make his directorial debut in How to Catch a Monster, headlined by his Drive co-star Christina Hendricks and produced by Marc Platt and Adam Siegel. "I am very appreciative to Marc and Adam for being so supportive and I look forward to making this film with all of them," said Gosling in a statement. The fantasy noir, described as "set in a vanishing city in a dark underworld", was written by Gosling. Production is slated to begin mid-2013.
Usher puts personal troubles behind him
Usher has had a turbulent few months, but now he's back on stage. The R&B singer kicked off this week's iTunes Festival in London. Over the summer, Usher coped with the death of his stepson and a custody battle over his two sons, which he won. Usher joked in a press conference: "Man, it's like, 'Shut up and entertain, we don't care about your personal stuff'." The iTunes event, running until September 30, features over 60 artists including One Direction, Lana Del Rey and Alicia Keys. - AP

Rihanna let rip in a series of foul-mouthed Twitter posts about fighting her way out of a Paris train station after a crowd of fans gathered to greet her on Saturday. The station's security and her own bodyguards struggled to protect her from the crush as she tried to leave the station. "The French are ... insane!!!" she tweeted later. "FYI, if u push me, you WILL get pushed ... back!" Rihanna later appeared as a guest of Coldplay's sold-out concert at the Stade de France. - AFP
