The Style List: Burberry’s new flagship store

Burberry’s new Mall of the Emirates store features each of Burberry’s product categories under one roof. The space is a statement of intent – and a reminder that there’s more to this British luxury brand than the ubiquitous check.

Burberry's Mall of the Emirates store is its largest in the region. A dynamic façade is paired with interiors inspired by the brand's Regent Street store – a nod to its stellar heritage. Here's what you can expect.

1. Private lounge

Nestled in the back of the store is a plush private lounge, which allows for personalised and bespoke consultations. In addition to spacious seating and changing areas, you’ll find an exclusive collection of some of the brand’s most breathtaking creations, including the headline-grabbing studded gown worn by Cara Delevingne at the 2013 Met Gala.

2. Clothing

The store is home to an extensive collection of menswear and womenswear, with separate areas for the Burberry Brit, Burberry London and Burberry Prorsum collections. Naturally, you’ll find plenty of the brand’s trademark trench coats, as well as its ever-evolving ponchos. From September, there will also be an offering for the little ones, when the store expands further and launches a dedicated area for childrenswear.

3. Accessories

Much of the front of the store is dedicated to bags, including classics such as the Bloomsbury and this new addition from the spring/summer 2015 collection, the Burberry Bee, which comes in dashing shades of bright peony and daffodil yellow. Burberry’s other trademark accessory, the scarf, has its own dedicated counter, which also offers a monogramming service, while shoes have a room of their own.

4. Menswear

Male customers can rejoice over a dedicated space offering tailoring services (courtesy of an ex-Savile Row specialist). Look out for the brand’s crease-free Travel Tailoring collection – a must-have for any jet-setting exec.

5. Timepieces

For the man looking for a timepiece to match his made-to-order suit, there’s a dedicated watch area, which offers the luxury Britain range, among other pieces, as well as plenty of options for the female watch enthusiast.

6. Beauty

The store is home to the region’s first dedicated Burberry Beauty area, featuring a full range of make-up and fragrances. Highlighting Burberry’s commitment to innovation, there’s a digital lip and nail bar within the beauty area that offers a virtual experience for trying on the latest lip and nail shades.
