Shine a light

Kim Thomé’s Plinth candleholders will make for stunning centrepieces. Featuring a stainless steel base, topped with a halo of coloured Swarovski crystal, they come in three sizes.

Crystal clear

Ron Arad’s Alphabet & Numbers series is constructed entirely out of clear Swarovski crystal, in a new font designed specifically for this project by Arad, the famed industrial designer. The bold, blunt facets of the letters and numbers give them a playful feel.

Checkmate

This dramatic-looking chess set by architect Daniel Libeskind is more sculpture than game. Called Architecture & The City, the championship-size set pays tribute to Milan and New York, and features some of Libeskind’s best-known buildings. It combines concrete, marble, crystal and silver to stunning effect.

Fluid finish

Launched at this year’s Milan International Furniture Fair, Atelier Swarovski Home features collaborations with some of the biggest names in design, including Ron Arad, Tord Boontje and the late Zaha Hadid, who created Christa, a dramatic centrepiece that melds crystal and gold-finished metal, and uses Swarovski’s new Wave-Cut technology.

Pops of colour

Tord Boontje proves that less really is more with his creations for the first Swarovski Atelier Home collection. The Lux Orbit lanterns feature crystalline glass covered in subtle flecks of coloured crystal, sitting on a Corian base.
