A notorious TV special which sees celebrities queuing up to pour scorn on Donald Trump will get a timely election fever screening on UAE airwaves.
Originally recorded in 2011, the Comedy Central Roast of Donald Trump features names including Seth MacFarlane, Snoop Dogg, Marlee Matlin and Larry King taking the podium to direct merciless jibes at the 70-year-old Tycoon-turned-politician, who sits in the audience dumbfounded.
Following Trump’s divisive ascension as the Republican presidential candidate, the cult classic will get a one-off airing on OSN’s Comedy Central (channel 207), on July 23 at 10.30pm.
A press release from the channel described the broadcast as a “a special programming stunt” in order to offers viewers the chance to ”get to know the US presidential candidate in new and funny ways”.
Snoop Dogg makes one of the show’s most pointed attacks, riffing on Trump’s long-held desire to move into the White House.
“Why not?” asks the rapper. “It wouldn’t be the first time you pushed a black family out of their home.”
